Hotel & Assembly Facilities
Over the past 30 years we’ve completed more than 250 site evaluations, feasibility studies and valuations for hotels and resorts across Canada. We also provide a wide range of advisory services for public assembly facilities, including operational reviews, facility needs analysis, service delivery strategies, contractor procurement and contract negotiations. A representative sample of these projects follows: |
International Centre, Toronto, Ontario
The International Centre, Canada’s largest privately-owned trade and consumer show venue, recently added 40,000 square feet of Class A meeting space and new banquet kitchens and took over the operation of all food and beverage facilities. We advised the International Centre on a wide range of operational, management and design issues throughout this process.

Exhibition Place, Toronto, Ontario
We assisted Exhibition Place in securing a hotel and conference centre development at Exhibition Place. We prepared the marketing documentation (including site and market analyses, hotel industry overview and summary of demand generators), and conducted a North American marketing campaign to find a suitable developer. The conference centre opened in 2010 and the Board is finalizing a lease for the development of a 175 room first class hotel. |
City of St. John’s, Newfoundland
in St. John’s we evaluated the development potential of a parcel of municipal land adjacent to City Hall. We recommended that the City provide financial support to a hotel developer willing to provide expanded meeting and conference facilities on the site. We then assisted the City in finding a developer and operator. The Delta Hotel and Convention Centre was the successful outcome of our involvement with the City of St. John’s.

City of Charlottetown, PEI
We evaluated the opportunity to develop a first class hotel and convention centre on the Charlottetown waterfront. We then assisted the City in finding a developer and operator. The Delta Hotel and Convention Centre (originally managed by Hilton Canada) was the successful outcome of our involvement with the City of Charlottetown. |

City of Windsor, Ontario
We conducted a site and market evaluation, prepared a hotel feasibility study and assisted the City of Windsor in securing a hotel developer for a parcel of City-owned land adjacent to the Cleary Auditorium and Convention Centre. A 300-room Hilton International Hotel was the successful outcome of our involvement with the City of Windsor. |
Waterfront Development Corporation, Halifax, Nova Scotia
We assisted the Waterfront Development Corporation in identifying development opportunities for its surplus land in downtown Halifax. We then assisted in finding a developer and hotel operator, and negotiating the land lease and hotel development agreement.
